This is an impressive and ambitious season of plays on offer. I really wish you would include an afternoon matinee performance for each of the plays. Why not at least give it a try and see what kind of response you get in ticket sales? There are those of us (I travel on public transportation) who don’t like to be out late at night.
Sandy, thanks so much for the kind words. Yes, we are considering a few Sunday matinees, this was just brought up at our board meeting! Thanks for the feedback, and I hope we can make it happen in 2014!

Thanks for reply. One always wonders if anybody is listening. Do add some matinee performances and I will be there.
Every time I attend Custom Made, I think, “This has to be my last time” because of safety issues. Really need some 2 PM Sunday performances. I can stand on a dark corner after 10 PM on Gough to wait for a bus to take me to Embarcadero BART. Or I can walk in the dark to Van Ness, wait for a bus to Market, then then walk that very scary several blocks among scary people to Civic Center BART. I leave Concord for theater in Berkeley and San Francisco several times a week, so that’s not the issue. A friend with mobility issues who lives in the city once drove to Custom Made and missed the play because she couldn’t find a place to park near the theater. So … I guess driving in from East Bay isn’t a good option either. REALLY want to support Custom Made. Hope you can come up with some afternoon performances to address safety concerns. Thanks
Hi, thanks for writing and sorry for the delay. We hear you! We are trying an experiment with SLAUGHTERHOUSE FIVE and have added two 3pm Sunday matinees! Please support these performances by subscribing or buying tickets so we know it can work 🙂 One of the reasons we have not done so in the past is that we are in a shared space, and it makes things complicated with space allocation. When we aren’t performing, we’re rehearsing, and when none of these things is happening you can bet Trinity has a great event or service going on.
Other options I would recommend tho, is checking out Lyft or UberX to have them pick you up at the gate. I know this costs, but I personally have found them very reliable and remarkably cheaper than cabs. Best, Brian
Sandy (and everyone else!) happy to let you know that we have added two 3pm Sunday matinees for SLAUGHTERHOUSE-FIVE! They are the first two Sundays in Oct. Please buy tickets (or subscribe) to make this a success and let us know we can support these extra shows! 🙂
