A tragedy witnessed by a young girl sets her off on a fantastical adventure of self-discovery. Award-winning playwright Bublitz shows how a child’s mind deals with unspeakable events.
Serpents runs approximately two hours, which includes a 15-minute intermission.
Serpents is intended for an adult audience.
Iro, orphan girl and lover of adventures, is the subject of ridicule by other children and punishment by uncaring foster parents. Then one day, Iro discovers a mission: find the ancient winged horse, Pegasus. On her quest, taking with her only books and her imaginary friend Annika, Iro begins a mythical journey that will reunite her with another lonely soul, and along the way find the truth about the death of her parents.
