The Re-Education of Fernando Morales is the story of a young man trying to piece together his past after being sent away to a gay conversion camp as a child. While in the camp, he meets another young man who he falls in love with and whom disappears within its walls. In order to save his current relationship, Fernando must confront his trauma and find help before he hurts himself or those he loves the most.
There are realistic depictions of violence in the text. Young Fernando is shocked onstage in the play, but no sounds of gunfire.
